Marco Bernal And Farewell IV Win Rock Star Freestyle Award From Cunningham & Cunningham At Wellington Classic Sunshine Challenge CDI

Wellington, viagra 100mg FL (February 3, 2012) – Colombian dressage rider Marco Bernal, and his handsome Westphalian stallion Farewell IV, delivered a performance worthy of rock stars in the Intermediaire I Freestyle at the Wellington Classic Sunshine Challenge CDI. The rocking duo not only captured the blue in the class with a score of 72.625%, but they also rode away with the Rock Star Award from Cunningham & Cunningham Livestock, Inc. Sponsored by Cunningham & Cunningham, a livestock insurance company located in Harriman, New York, the Rock Star Award highlights horse and rider combinations that excel in the Musical Freestyle classes and the winners are determined by the pair’s music selection, choreography and overall presentation.

Bernal, who owns Marco Bernal International Dressage farm in Wellington, thanked Cunningham & Cunningham for sponsoring the Rock Star Award. “Farewell IV had a great energy level during the class, which made me really happy,” he said. “As a stallion he can sometimes be very laid back, but he truly performed like a rock star in this class.”

Bernal and Farewell IV have proved their star power throughout their years, cementing a partnership that began when the stallion was only four-years-old. In 2010, Bernal and Farewell competed in the Central American and Caribbean Games in Puerto Rico, earning both the Team and Individual Gold Medals. Bernal has a long and distinguished career that includes riding for Colombia in multiple Pan American Games, including winning a Silver medal in the 1999 Pan Am Games, and representing Colombia at the 2009 Rolex FEI World Cup in Las Vegas.

Bernal also earned the highest award bestowed upon an athlete in Colombia when he was awarded the Athlete’s Award, presented to him by the Colombian President. Bernal is well known for competing three stallions on the dressage circuit – Halbgott, Maybach and Farwell IV. In 2007, he qualified for the Pan Am Games aboard Halbgott, a Trakehner stallion, earned the world record at WEF aboard Farewell IV, and with Maybach, also a Westphalian stallion, Bernal earned the highest score at the National Horse Show in 2004.

As the winner of the Cunningham & Cunningham Livestock Rock Star Freestyle Award, Bernal and Farewell IV won a beautifully embroidered cooler and ribbon. “We are thrilled to be sponsoring this unique award and very pleased to award it to Marco and Farewell IV. These two have a wonderful chemistry and it’s really fun to watch them perform,” said Sara Cunningham.
